Chris Feeney is the incoming President of BITS, the technology division of the Financial Services Roundtable, where he will work with the nation’s largest financial institutions and policymakers in promoting safety and soundness in cybersecurity, fraud and with firms on emerging technologies in the financial industry. Feeney has over 30 years of experience in executive management, technology, business/sales management and operating roles at software companies, broker dealers and investment management firms.
Prior to joining BITS, Feeney was the President of Feeney Consulting LLC, a strategic advisory firm, consulting on behalf of boards, CEOs and leadership teams. Chris has served as managing director and CIO at LPL Financial, the fourth-largest wealth management firm in the U.S., where he was a member of the management committee. He and his team developed a technology strategy/platform to drive growth and support acquisition integration, a platform re-architecture, the firms IPO, along with extensive technology and operating improvements.
Prior to LPL Chris was global managing director and wealth management segment head at Thomson Financial, Chief Executive of Telerate, Inc., a fixed income pricing service, and President/Chief Operating Officer of Multex, Inc., a technology leader in research and financial information services. In each role he was responsible for setting strategic direction, driving top line growth and improving operating capabilities and financial performance.
Chris has also been a managing director and regional CIO at Bank of America Securities and vice president at ADP Brokerage (now Broadridge Financial).
