Brock Pierce is a venture capitalist and entrepreneur with an extensive track record of founding, advising and investing in digital currency, distributed systems, payment systems, and gaming companies. He pioneered the market for digital currency in games. He has raised more than $200 million for companies he founded and led more than 30 acquisitions. Mr. Pierce is the serving Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation and founder and Managing Partner of Blockchain Capital, which has invested in 38 companies.

Mr. Pierce also is the founder of IMI Exchange, ZAM and IGE. IMI Exchange is the world’s leading digital currency marketplace for games, with annual sales exceeding $1 billion. ZAM, one of the world’s largest media properties for gamers was acquired by Tencent. IGE pioneered the use of digital currency for online games. Achieving revenues exceeding $100 million in 2006, IGE was sold in 2007. Mr. Pierce also is a founder, advisor, or board member of GoCoin, Blade Payments, Noble Markets, BitGo, ChangeTip, Tether (sold), BlockStreet, d10e, and Plug and Play.

Mr. Pierce has been a guest lecturer at the Milken Global Conference, Singularity University, Stanford, USC, and UCLA. He attended the University of Southern California.
