Amy James is the author of Open Index Protocol, a blockchain specification for a worldwide database where anyone can publish, read, display, sell or audit the records. The OIP specification can be used for all kinds of public records, from scientific data and property records to commercial media, and is currently being used by Caltech’s Jensen Lab, the State of Wyoming, Overstock subsidiary Medici Land Governance and others. She is also a co-founder of Alexandria, a search/browse application and suite of services for all records in the Open Index. She has previously worked for nonprofit arts organizations, political campaigns and as an independent writer/director. How blockchain will benefit creators is the most exciting story she’s ever told.
